Over Seije

Ik ben geboren in 1980 te Ruinen en sindsdien doe ik het kalm an.

In 1998 werd ik toegelaten op de Minerva Art Academy (Groningen). Er kwam weinig van terecht omdat ik bezig was met andere dingen. Ik ben wel altijd doorgegaan met striptekenen en af en toe schilderen. 

In 2022 heb ik een hersenbloeding gehad en toen ik weer een beetje kon bewegen, ben ik weer gaan schilderen. Dit keer wat serieuzer.

In 2025 heb ik geëxposeerd in de pleinotheek van RAUM, in Utrecht. Daarna in Caroussel de Louvre in Parijs en op Cologne Art Unframed (Keulen). Binnenkort hangt mijn werk in Miami. 

Ik vind het lastig om mijn eigen werk te omschrijven, maar dit schreven de curatoren van Artboxy over mijn schilderij 'Uil is lui 3':

This combination of concise design, rhythmic composition, and tactile illustration makes the work both visually striking and emotionally inviting.
